Overview

Matthew Flores is an interdisciplinary artist and designer currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, and is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the University of North Georgia. His studio practice seeks to bridge the gap between the discourse of design and the discourse of technology in order to articulate how each function as interrelated tools for communication.

He was the 2023-25 Graphic Design Fellow at the University of Tennessee School of Design. Flores was awarded the 2023 Idea Capital Atlanta Creative Grant, a Creative Residency Fellowship at Hambidge Center for Creative Arts, was selected as one of Atlanta Celebrates Photography’s Ones to Watch in 2019, and attended a 2023 Residency at The Luminary in St. Louis, MO.
